AMY AND JESSE'S amazing carnival wedding!!

The cutest couple in the world also happen to be two of my favorite people. They tied the knot last weekend, and had the most amazing wedding of all time. It was complete with dancing down the aisle, carnival games and food (ring toss, darts, coin toss, corn dogs, cotton candy, popcorn etc..)

And they had me make their wedding cake (cupcakes)!! 150 cupcakes total. 3 flavors. Chocolate chunk, carrot cake, and lychee-hoo!! All with vanilla buttercream. And they wanted a special little cake just for the two of them to cut and feed each other (shove in each other's faces). Their cake was a two layer carrot cake covered in vanilla fondant.

It was a great day, and I am so happy for them!!

Local Kine Cake Grinds

Last night I had a craving for some poi..

So I made poi cupcakes, filled them with haupia, vanilla buttercream, and put some starfruit on top.

They are delicious.

The poi made the cake a little dense, but other than that they were good. :)

Bridal Shower Princess Cake

For Amy's bridal shower, I made her a princess cake. It is totally silly, and just for fun. :)

Tiffany cut Barbie's hair, and I colored it to look like our friend Amy's hair, and Kelli drew tattoos on her.

The actual cake is a five layer cake, with alternating strawberry and chocolate layers and vanilla buttercream frosting.

a musician's birthday!

A girl named Ginger that I used to work with at the Contemporary Art Museum Cafe wanted to do something special for her friend's birthday. She is a musician and her favorite color was green. I decided to make some elegant musical cupcakes.

Chocolate chocolate chunk
Vanilla Buttercream
Green fondant music notes.
Silver food shimmer.

I am totally in love with these roses. And the shimmer just makes them look extra special!
